Pressing Pause

Hi all! It’s been a while since we published a new episode or shared updates. I wanted to be transparent with you about what’s up.

Since our last published episode in September of 2023 (one of my favorite ones to record + edit) life has taken both of us in different directions. Between work commitments, personal priorities, and the ever-changing demands on our time, we’ve struggled to give Candid Crypto the attention and energy it deserves.

The format we chose for our show demanded research, thoughtful discussion, and consistent dedication. It was a humbling experience, and made me appreciate my favorite podcasters that much more. A fifteen-minute episode could take me hours to edit – and sometimes that wasn’t enough! (I had to un-publish our Solana episode, 017, due to an editing fail I didn’t notice until it was live). Doing the episode in one take with minimal / no editing is harder than it seems.

When we first launched the show, the novelty of it yielded a lot of creative motivation. That didn’t last. Sticking to a consistent content calendar was our biggest challenge, and it certainly did us no favors from a growth / algorithm perspective. Right now, neither of us are in a position to commit to the show – so, we’re putting Candid Crypto on pause indefinitely.

All of our existing episodes and content will remain available for anyone who wants to revisit or discover them for the first time. We’re proud of the content we published, and the community we built in our tiny corner of the internet. But, for the foreseeable future, there will be no new episodes.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who listened, shared feedback, and supported us along the way. It means a lot <3.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Michael and I really enjoy podcasting, so don’t be surprised if we collaborate together in the future.
